Elon Musk once responded publicly to outlandish claims that he had been involved in a romantic encounter with two of Hollywood’s most well-known names.
The Tesla CEO has a storied dating history, having been married twice while also dating several celebrities over the years.
Musk is reportedly a father of more than a dozen children, though the exact number has not been independently confirmed. He most recently dated Australian actress Natasha Bassett following a long-term relationship with artist Grimes, with whom he shares three children, including the controversially named X Æ A-12, born in May 2020. Pronounced “X Ash A Twelve,” the child was the first the couple had before they reportedly split in 2022.
Musk also notably dated actress Amber Heard following her high-profile divorce from Johnny Depp — a split that would result in one of the most widely covered celebrity court cases in recent memory.
Musk Responds to Rumors About Heard
As part of a defamation lawsuit brought by Depp against the Sun in 2021, a deposition by Josh Drew — the ex-husband of Heard’s best friend — alleged that Musk had been involved in a romantic encounter with both Heard and model Cara Delevingne simultaneously, purportedly while Depp and Heard were still married.
Musk responded in an official statement to Page Six, saying: “Cara and I are friends, but we’ve never been intimate. She would confirm this. Also, I wish to confirm again that Amber and I only started going out about a month after her divorce filing. I don’t think I was ever even in the vicinity of Amber during their marriage.”
The billionaire maintained that he had only begun dating Heard after her separation from the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, a relationship that lasted roughly between 2016 and 2018.
He added: “I would recommend that everyone involved bury the hatchet and move on. Life is too short for such extended negativity. Nobody is going to say, after it’s all over, that they wished the court battle had lasted longer!”
Musk’s Comments About Sydney Sweeney Draw Criticism
Musk, 54, drew widespread criticism after making remarks about actress Sydney Sweeney during an appearance on the All-In podcast. In footage shared by RadarOnline, a conversation about business and technology shifted when Musk removed his sweatshirt and made a joke comparing himself to Sweeney in a manner many viewers found inappropriate.
Social media users were quick to criticize the remarks, calling them disrespectful. It was not the first time Musk had commented on Sweeney’s appearance — in December, he had responded to a red carpet video of the Euphoria star with an AI-generated image widely interpreted as mocking and objectifying.
The 28-year-old actress has not publicly responded to Musk’s comments.
